Who we are.

Novus Byzantium LLC is a Wyoming limited liability company registered in the United States. We operate as the authorized U.S. distributor and outbound shipper of record for hemp-derived CBD products manufactured by Swiss Vitalis LLC (Delaware, USA) and for Urb hemp-derived products manufactured by Lifted Liquids, Inc., doing business as Lifted Made (Wisconsin, USA).

Our role is strictly limited to U.S.-side fulfillment: order processing, payment settlement in U.S. dollars, export documentation, and carrier handoff. The patient in Brazil is the importer of record on every shipment.

02.a · United States

Hemp-derived CBD under the 2018 Farm Bill

Swiss Vitalis hemp-derived CBD products and Urb hemp-derived products are manufactured in the United States and comply with the 2018 U.S. Agriculture Improvement Act (“Farm Bill”), which removed hemp and hemp-derived cannabinoids (including CBD) containing ≤ 0.3% Δ9-THC on a dry-weight basis from the federal controlled-substances schedule. Novus Byzantium LLC ships these products only from U.S. territory and only to a patient who holds, in their own name, the import authorization required where they live.

02.b · Brazil

ANVISA personal-import pathway

Novus Byzantium LLC fulfills shipments to Brazil exclusively to individuals who have obtained, in their own name, an Anuência de Importação from ANVISA under RDC nº 660/2022 (personal import of products derived from Cannabis). Under Art. 5, §3 of that resolution, ANVISA publishes and periodically updates a technical note listing the products whose patient registration is approved on simplified review, which Art. 6 allows to be automatic (currently Nota Técnica nº 81/2026, last updated by ANVISA on 5 October 2026). At registration the resolution has ANVISA assess only the product’s regulatory standing in its country of origin (Art. 7, §2), not its quality, safety, or efficacy. Novus Byzantium LLC does not register products with ANVISA and does not advertise or promote these products to the public in Brazil. The patient is the importer of record on every shipment.

Operational posture

  • U.S. entity compliance. Operated as a Wyoming limited liability company under U.S. federal and state law; records and filings maintained for audit.

Personal-import fulfillment.

This section describes the personal-import pathway under RDC nº 660/2022 and where Novus Byzantium LLC sits within it. It is informational only and is not medical, legal, or regulatory advice.

  1. 01Patient

    Prescription

    The prescription is issued by a legally qualified professional and carries the patient’s name, the product name, the posology, the date, the signature and the prescriber’s registration number with their professional council. It is valid for six months from issue. Novus Byzantium LLC does not provide, recommend, or review prescriptions.

  2. 02Patient

    Registration and authorization

    Registration is filed with ANVISA by the patient or their legal guardian, and the authorization is issued in the patient’s name, for their own use. Registration is valid for two years and is renewed against a new prescription. Novus Byzantium LLC does not file that registration and does not represent the patient before ANVISA.

  3. 03Operation

    Merchant of record

    Novus Byzantium LLC is the merchant of record for the transaction and settles payment in U.S. dollars, in the United States. Conversion, taxes and any fee that applies are disclosed before confirmation.

  4. 04Fulfillment

    Shipment

    Novus Byzantium LLC ships from the United States, and the patient appears as the consignee and the importer of record on the airway bill and on the import declaration. The resolution admits formal customs clearance, accompanied baggage and express remittance, and prohibits postal shipment. The Brazilian leg is handled by Memphis, an independent carrier contracted for customs clearance and final delivery. Memphis acts before Brazilian customs on behalf of the importer of record, is not owned or controlled by Novus Byzantium LLC, and does not represent the company in Brazil. Import duties are the importer’s responsibility.

Verification before shipping

Registration in the importer portal does not authorize a shipment. Before any order ships, Novus Byzantium LLC checks the patient’s prescription and import authorization.

Novus Byzantium LLC does not sell products to anonymous visitors, does not accept orders by email or telephone, and does not display product pricing, product names, or product images on this website.

An order is handled exclusively inside the authenticated importer portal, and only for the specific product and dosage matching the patient’s prescription and authorization. Novus Byzantium LLC does not operate a public storefront, does not run product promotions, and does not advertise products to the general public.
